Someone needs to inform my cousin Mundee about the large hole on her property. I was riding through there the other day and my pony stepped in it and stumbled. I could have been thrown and it was lucky that my pony didn't go lame! If she isn't up to lifiting a shovelful of dirt herself, perhaps she can get one of the local lads to fill it in for her. At the very least, perhaps she should post a warning.

This is the first I've heard of this, Bennie. Couldn't you have at least stopped at my hole and told me in person? Or did Frodo happen to draw your attention away?
Either way, I shall make sure the hole is found and taken care of. Most likely, it was one of the children trying to dig into the hillside to find old Bilbo's treasure. It's not the first time this has happened. Braedon, I accept your offer of help. Do come by tomorrow and I'll show where to find my shovels and such.
And Bennie? Please come over soon. I believe you and I have some unfinished business to attend to....
By the way, what were you doing riding on my property in the first place?

Yeah....sure, Bennie. I know you too well. I'd wager you were spying on Mundee, probably figured that Frodo was visiting her.

I can assure all of you that Frodo wasn't anywhere NEAR my hole. If anything, he was home, taking care of his correspondence.
At least, that's the excuse he's given me these past few days whenever I go up to see if he would like to join me for a walk or to go visiting some of our mutual friends.
As for you, Fastred, what does it matter if Frodo was with me or with Bennie for that matter? I've told you before that you need to curtail your drinking before I will even entertain the notion of you being more than just a friend.
